BMICH opens Colomba Kamatha Arts Centre

The Colomba Kamatha Arts Centre was recently declared open under the patronage of former President and Bandaranaike National Memorial Foundation (BNMF) Chairperson Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.

The centre was conceptualised as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution to the oriental artist community in the country and is an initiative of the BNMF, which is the management arm of the BMICH.

This facility will be open for reservations to artistes who wish to train their pupils in oriental theatre, drama, dancing, and singing at a nominal fee. The space will be allocated in two-hour time slots for practices. There will also be a facility available for artistes to gather socially for interactions and discussion among the community, which will be on a membership basis.
