- Cinnamon Lakeside launches week-long Thai Food Festival
Thai cuisine is among Asia’s most popular food cultures, and this week, the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo is celebrating the magic of Thai food with a week-long Thai Food Festival in collaboration with the Embassy of Thailand in Colombo.
Held until 19 October from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. by the poolside, the Thai Food Festival takes place as an interactive buffet with multiple action stations, and offers over 100 authentic Thai delicacies curated by the team at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo.
The diverse festival includes mouth-watering delicacies like an action station preparing the famous Thai papaya and mango salad, a noodle bar, freshly grilled satays with the must-have Thai Peanut sauce, appetisers, meat and vegetarian dishes from the various regions of Thailand, and a scrumptious array of Thai desserts like mango sticky rice, steaming hot banana fritters and much more. A special selection of Thai beverages will also be on offer.
Speaking on the launch of the festival, Cinnamon City Hotels Area Vice President Kamal Munasinghe said: “Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo has had a longstanding relationship with Thai culture, and has been privileged to be recognised by the Thai Embassy in Sri Lanka as the most authentic Thai culinary experience. We are happy to be collaborating once again with the Embassy to bring Thailand’s unique and colourful food experience to our Sri Lankan guests.”
