According to Elephant Reach, the competition will be held during weekends in several batches. The hotel thus invites those interested to join the next batch, which will experience something truly unique on 24 and 25 September, as part of the Yala Wildlife Photography Competition 2022.
The batch that went on the tour during the first weekend of September successfully concluded a workshop conducted by the National Association of Photographers Sri Lanka (NAPSL) on 2 September. The hotel added that they are hosting this event in celebration of International Elephant Day last month.
The competition will be held for two age categories: under-16 and over-16. The submission categories are the behaviour of mammals, behaviour of birds, and scenic places, while Gallery FourLife is the exhibition host for the event and Barista Sri Lanka is the location host for the workshop.
Besides the wildlife photography workshop, participants can also enjoy accommodation at Elephant Reach, meals on a full-board basis, transport from Colombo to Yala and back, and a safari. In addition to this, participation certificates, prizes for the winners, and an award ceremony and photography exhibition in Colombo are also part of the package.
