A child protection tour titled “Lama Surakum Yathra”, an intensive public awareness campaign by the Stop Child Cruelty Trust and the Child Protection Alliance, commenced from Colombo on Children’s Day, reaching Jaffna by train on 1 October. The tour will head to Kandy on 15 October, and will travel to Batticaloa and Anuradhapura before returning to Colombo on 18 November.
