Marks reopening journey with seasonal light-up
The Mount Lavinia Hotel kicked off its Christmas festivities last Sunday at The Terrace, marking new beginnings as we celebrate the festive season and head into a new year.
Welcoming guests at the event, Mount Lavinia Hotel Chairman Sanath Ukwatte announced the very welcome news that most sections of the famed heritage hotel were now open.
“The Governor’s Restaurant and The Terrace are functional from today. Our banquet venues are already hosting long-awaited weddings and events and The Seafood Cove and the spa will be opened soon too,” he revealed.
“Today is a special day for us as it marks the beginning of our reopening journey. None of this would have been possible if we didn’t have your loyal support behind us. So thank you for always supporting us and we look forward to your continued support. On behalf of everyone here at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, I wish you a blessed festive season,” he added.
With Voice Print providing excellent entertainment and the staff serving up all kinds of nibbles and spirits as guests mingled, good cheer reigned and everyone gathered celebrated the Christmas light-up and reopening journey of the much-loved hotel.
