Sailing Regatta in Breezy Trinco Blu by Cinnamon

The 10^th successive Trinco Blu Sailing Regatta will be held off the pristine blue waters of Cinnamon’s East Coast retro paradise resort, Trinco Blu by Cinnamon, in continued collaboration with the Royal Colombo Yacht Club (RCYC).

This year, a record number of 53 boats have been registered for the event scheduled to take place on the 29^th of June 2018, the largest fleet yet to compete for the annual RCYC Trinco Blu Challenge Trophy.

The series of races will commence from the Trinco Blu by Cinnamon beachfront, the ideal setting with solid winds to whip up some thrilling competition among the sailors.

The Green Globe certified, award-winning resort located on the scenic coast of Trincomalee, offers the best of ocean adventure, and is a highlight of the region’s growing tourist traction each year.

This year’s Regatta looks set to be unprecedented colourful with four class of boats participating:

• 18 Optimist Dinghy’s
• 21 Laser Dinghy’s
• 3 GP 14 Boats
• 11 Enterprise-class Boats

The competitors will be drawn from a number of ling Clubs, including the Royal Yacht Club, Ceylon Motor Yacht Club, The Navy Sailing Club and young sailors participating from St Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia & Royal College.
