Hotel MaRadha Colombo held the grand opening of its rooftop lounge and bar ‘Sky Yard’ on 9 December 2022.
Located in Colombo just a few steps from Bambalapitiya Beach, Hotel MaRadha Colombo has accommodations accompanied by a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool, and a fitness centre. The hotel also has 35 rooms with modern city hotel amenities for professionals, travellers, or just about anybody looking for a quick getaway in Colombo.
The Sky Yard is its latest addition. MaRadha Director (Food and Beverages) Tariq Bongso noted that the rooftop lounge could comfortably accommodate 70 pax. Complete with a plunge pool, the rooftop space is stunning as the view opens up to Colombo’s city lights and the Indian Ocean.
Bongso noted that the Sky Yard would be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and patrons could sample a wide array of finger foods or even opt to have a gourmet lunch and/or dinner, to be enjoyed with friends or family. He added that the venue would feature live music over the weekends, adding to the relaxed atmosphere allowing for a cool ambience for quiet and intimate meetups. He also noted that patrons were free to walk in, and they hoped to host a ladies’ night on Wednesdays.
The space is a perfect reprieve and a much-needed escape from the city below, allowing guests to step away from the city’s hustle for a quick moment, take a breather, and step right back into their routine after taking a brief respite at the Sky Yard.
