Sprout Water launches natural spring water range

Sprout Water launched its 800 ml natural spring water glass bottle range on 13 October 2022.

With the bottling plant situated in a private estate in the Falcon Valley in Medamahanuwara on the southern tip of the Knuckles Mountain Range, this facility is the most closely located to the Knuckles Rainforest and furthest away from any other human activity, ensuring an unadulterated flow from the natural spring.

Sprout Lanka Chairman Reza Odayar noted that Sprout Water had been a pioneer of natural spring water for over 27 years, most notably due to its unique practice of only subjecting its water to a filtering process before bottling, ensuring that its natural state remained intact. He noted that the spring water was not subjected to reverse osmosis, which removes the natural minerals that are beneficial to our health.

Sprout Water’s source, the Knuckles Mountain Range, historically referred to as ‘Dumbara Kanduvetiya’ which translates into ‘the misty valley,’ was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2010.

The mountain range is home to a plethora of endemic flora and fauna and with its constant cloud cover mist, lush forest, and untouched forest floor, the range is considered one of Sri Lanka’s purest waterbeds and a point of origin for some of Sri Lanka’s largest rivers.
