If you’ve scrolled through Instagram in the last few weeks, you would’ve seen the resurgence of oversized clothing. T-shirts just a tad too big for you have become all the rage, with many stores jumping to stock their racks with them. Overwhelming your outfit with oversized t-shirts is the perfect way to show off your love for all things oversized.
So here are a few ways you could style them to fit any occasion.
Casual wear
If you want to go with more of a casual look, but still want to make sure that everyone knows how much of a fan you are of oversized t-shirts, try wearing them with a hat or sunglasses. This will help keep them out of the way, while still letting everyone know that they mean business.
You could also match an oversized t-shirt with an oversized jacket, and pair them with some skinny jeans and boots. This will give your outfit more of a casual vibe as opposed to a business-casual one (which will look great paired with skinny jeans).
Formal wear
If it’s a more formal occasion where you need to wear a collared shirt or blouse instead of something more casual like leggings or denim shorts, then go ahead and add some bling accessories, such as a statement necklace or bracelet, for extra flair.
Beachwear
If you’re headed to the beach, keep your shirt as light as possible, and remember to apply plenty of sunscreen. Throw on a bucket hat, and pair it with some denim shorts.
When it comes to styling your oversized t-shirt on the beach, keep in mind that it will probably get wet (and so will you). For this reason, avoid wearing them with white bottoms and opt for darker colours instead.
