Ice cream has always evoked a sense of warmth and childlike joy when indulged. The word Carino aptly means love and affection, and it is with these qualities in mind that the famous local artisanal ice cream brand Carino Artisan Ice Cream was created.

Using locally-produced milk, ingredients, and selected delicacies from Italy, they handcraft mouth-watering flavours that will satisfy even the most experienced ice cream connoisseur.

Speaking to Brunch, the creator of Carino Artisan Ice Cream Shanaz Gunawardena told us all the perks of indulging in this specific brand: “Good ice cream is one of life’s little joys. We hope customers will find comfort in the taste and innovation they have come to love from Carino.”

Carino, renowned for its natural ingredients and bold flavours, boasts five lip-smacking ranges: Crème, addict, guilt-free (vegan), chill out, and after dark. With flavours ranging from French vanilla, salted caramel, chocolate fudge brownie, strawberry sorbet, coconut cream, decadent chocolate, and stracciatella, to name a few, they have an extensive selection to satisfy every ice cream enthusiast out there.

All Carino products are gelatine-free and vegetarian, made up of recipes that keep sugar to a minimum without compromising on taste; instead using alternative sugars (such as palm sugar, jaggery, palm syrups, and bee’s honey) and flavours from natural derivatives (fruit, spices, vanilla, etc.). Additionally, no added colours or artificial preservatives are used in the making of these treats, so you can enjoy a delicious scoop of ice cream, completely guilt free.
