To most girls, hair is more than just another part of their body; it’s an accessory and sometimes an expression.
Sunsilk Hairstory 2019, created to celebrate hair, explored this very facet on 11 March at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Colombo.
The event was a result of the partnership between the global hair care brand Sunsilk together with the expertise of hair and beauty guru Ramani Fernando.
“Hair acts as a mode of self expression and sets the entire tone for your appearance.
This year’s Hairstory is significant as it reiterates how your hair affects your mood and vice versa, empowering women and impacting the roles they play,” she said.
The event, which sought to highlight the impact hair has on a person’s mood, focused on the themes joyful, confident, dreamy and brave. The guests that evening were able to witness a collection of 24 hairstyles that were reflective of these very themes.
“This time’s theme for Sunsilk Hairstory is how we change our mood and how we feel, by changing our hair. The combinations of what we can do with our hair are limitless and it was about that,” commented Uniliver Sri Lanka Marketing Director – Personal Care Nilushi Jayatilake.
