The recently opened “Patio 25”, located at 25, Milagiriya Avenue, Colombo 4, consists of a restaurant, bar, gaming station, karaoke lounge, shisha room, pizza corner, and a private party arena.
The restaurant caters to a wide array of people and serves many international cuisines ranging from Mexican, to Thai, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Italian, American, Indian, and of course, Sri Lankan.
The General Manager, Don Channa Edirisinghe, makes it clear that all items on the menu are “affordable for the middle class, working people”.
For starters, one has the option of ordering soups which include Sri Lankans’ favourite Thai Tom Yum soup, American seafood chowder, and Italian minestra.
For the main course, a wide range of items are on offer including pizzas, burgers, biriyani, kottu and Indian curries as sides.
The dessert menu, which includes Indian sweets such as ras malai and gulab jamun, is a must-try!
Channa also explained that Patio 25 has an open-concept lounge area where an assortment of beverages is provided – juice, milkshakes, soft drinks, and liquor.
If you are interested, on a Friday night, grab a few friends and enjoy their delicious fish bowl or bullfrog which costs only Rs. 4,000 or you can simply relax and enjoy a long island iced tea or mojito at just Rs. 2,000.
In addition to the restaurant, the venue can also accommodate private functions inclusive of parties, meetings, or even social gatherings, for roughly 120 people.
Upstairs has its own shisha room, karaoke lounge, and a few more lounges for one to relax in with friends and family. The ground floor houses a gaming station and dance floor, where parties or any special events can be held.
The karaoke rooms and shisha rooms are fully private and soundproof, and can hold up to 60-70 guests, enabling one to enjoy a pleasant evening without any interruptions whatsoever.
The very modern space, Patio 25 is rather spacious and has a collection of private rooms which could be used by small groups of people interested in having a few drinks, or a family who is interested in exploring the international cuisine on offer.
Apart from its entertainment, Patio 25 offers a natural atmospheric setting too, which is quite peaceful if you have had an exhausting day at work and wish to relax.
Channa added that signature finger foods are also available to those who have a limited amount of time and therefore cannot enjoy a full course meal.
Sizzling platters are available, which include patties, and pork roast which can be cooked according to one’s preferred style.
He also added that one of Sri Lanka’s favourite finger food “kochchi balls” is served fresh and hot, proving to be a hit amongst anyone interested in spicy food.
Patio 25, which is located adjacent to the sea, exudes a rather calm vibe with its natural sea breeze preferable for us Lankans as we tend to appreciate the outdoors, rather than being stuck in an air-conditioned area.
At the left side of the entrance, one can find a cosy spot to lounge and grab a few drinks while a live band plays in the background.
However, if one prefers to stay indoors, in a cool, air conditioned environment, that option is available on the ground floor and the upstairs area of the restaurant.
If you are searching for a convenient spot for a party or any kind of special event, or you simply wish to kick back, relax and have a drink, Patio is the place for you.
