The Avengers: Endgame movie premiere in the Savoy 3D Cinema, Wellawatte will feature, for the first time, the Dolby Atmos system. It was revealed at a press conference held recently to announce the movie’s release here in Sri Lanka.
The immersive auditory experience with a surround sound system that consists of hundreds of speakers including overhead speakers is said to create a unique addition to the cinematic experience of the Sri Lankan audience.
Savoy Cinemas CEO Geevaka Pallegama also indicated during the press conference that an IMAX cinematic experience is also being considered in the future plans of the cinema chain.
Avengers: Endgame will be premiering in Sri Lanka along with the rest of the world on 26 April 2019, and is one of the most anticipated events for the year by everyone from the hard-core Marvel fans to the average cinema patron, with 6,000 tickets being sold within six hours after the online bookings opened.
